Salient Features: 1. Chapter-1 is introductory in nature and concise the essential results in the respective fields of thermohaline convection, modified thermohaline convection (rotation and magnetic field). 2. Chapter-2 presents the bounds for complex wave velocity of an arbitrary mode in the instability problem of Veronis' and Stern thermohaline convection. 3. Chapter-3 deals with the modified thermohaline convection for the case of fluid completely confined in an arbitrary region with rigid bounding surface. 4. A further improvement of the results derived in Chapter-3 for the horizontal layer geometry are taken up in Chapter-4. 5. Chapter-5 extends the consideration of Chapter-4 to the rotatory modified magnetohydodynamic thermohaline convection.
