Particular emphasis is given to the current status of the Global Positioning System (GPS), which covers now about one third of the book. The GPS modernization plans, GLONASS, the forthcoming European system GALILEO, modern developments in GPS data analysis, error modelling, precise real time methods and ambiguity resolution are dealt with in detail.
