ambitious book that, via some of the most striking and thought-provoking photographs ever taken, aims to highlight the current state of mankind's relationship with the environment, and pose the question, "Where do we go from here?" The project is the brainchild of The Earth Pledge Foundation, a trust established in 1991 by Theodore Kheel in support of the Rio Earth Summit. Calling on the globally celebrated talents of Magnum Photos, the book will raise awareness and funds in time for the UN World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg in September 2002.
