The eight areas of the manual, the projects, and jobs they contain are color coded to make it easy to locate specific content in the manual. The projects in this manual include a brief introduction about the type of service being performed, a list of the jobs included in the project, and a tolls and materials list for the jobs. The jobs in this manual are designed to be accomplished in one or two lab sessions. Check boxes are provided in the left-hand column of the job so the student can mark off tasks as they are performed. Blanks are provided for recording service-related information. In addition, three types of special notices appear throughout the jobs in this manual. These notices point out special information or safety considerations for the task being performed. They are color coded according to the type of information being provided.
