From the viewpoint of the swallow therapist rather than the speech pathologist, this text examines the oral, pharyngeal and ensophageal components of the swallow mechanism. It identifies the normal structure and morphology and the structural and physiologic abnormalities. The text also incorporates clinically relevant primary research as it relates to normal and abnormal physiology.
