Although the idea of being completely independent seems appealing, there’s a lot of fear for the unknown. Things are no different when preparing to make major life decisions. Rather it’s making the transition from high school to college life; or trying to sustain while you journey throughout, the process is daunting. Everyone has a belief system that guides their lives, but the question is what do you do when what you believe is the truth quickly proves to be false? When you’re treading on new territory, and you aren’t exactly sure what to expect, how do you adjust? Is it really possible to succeed? Who am I? What’s next? These are some of the questions a young lady named Virtue was abruptly confronted with when she decided to pursue a higher education. Virtue was a first generation college student, blazing her own trail and leaving footprints for others to follow. She formulated a system she liked to call, The Four Tiers of Truth to help her cope with her fears and anxiety. The Four Tiers of Truth consist of: Spirituality, Education, Relationships and Taking Action! To create this system she referred to her notebook for inspiration. She also drew from the many lessons she learned throughout her life, and the many, many, come to Jesus meetings she had with her mentor Ms. Tri Tri.
