This book is for those who want an introduction to Romania that goes beyond what the politically correct travel guides offer. I have not included information that can be found in any of them but suffice it to say, if you’ve traveled to a couple of European countries, Romania should not present too big of a challenge for you. This book is for those interested in interacting with locals, seeking a leg up by not having to learn the social dynamics the hard way while trying to uncover Romania’s ‘national treasures’. Godspeed fellow travelers and may you have more satisfaction and fewer black eyes and broken noses than I had.
