At times the odor grew heavier, then it would fade. She walked a few yards before the smell became obvious again. After walking another fifty yards the stench became constant and totally disgusting. There was something dismal and frightening about the foul smell. Except for her eternal curiosity, she would have fled the area like a scared rabbit. She stopped, rooted to the spot, horrified by the scene before her: In the cleared area, some fifty feet in diameter, were a dozen or more, very dead, human bodies. All of the bodies were in different stages of decomposition. Some of the bodies had been torn apart by jungle scavengers and some looked as if they had been dead only a few hours. The bodies that were still intact were dressed in combat fatigues, boots and caps, Judging from their attire the corpses could well have been terrorist from the nearby villa. But Harri wasn't so much concerned about their past positions as she was about their present condition and who had killed them-!! and why.
