success in both work life and personal life is, as you might expect, an extremely rare commodity. But in a study that I have conducted over the past four years of 550 of America's top executives, I found a small group, only 4%, who were clearly enjoying an extremely high level of both personal and professional success. This was total, three-dimensional success. These highly effective executives not only had success in their jobs,with salaries ranging from 58 to 325 thousand dollars a year, but they also enjoyed their work very much. In addition, they had excellent personal lives which complemented their success at work.
