It was originally made available as a loose-leaf manual with two objectives in mind: first, to facilitate and minimize note taking by the student; second, to serve as a handy reference source during the student's clinical affiliation and later professional career. The material presented in the lectures and herein has been selected on the basis of many years experience we have had in teaching neuroanatomy and neurology to therapy students. It is designed to give the student and understanding of the various neurologic problems which are likely to be encountered in working with the physically handicapped. This should enable the student to recognize the clinical signs and symptoms of neurologic diseases as they frequently occur, to better appreciate the medical management of the problem after the diagnosis is established with the possibility of offering a prognosis.
