The book compares and contrasts the common law of contracts, the Restatement (Second) of Contracts, and Uniform Commercial Code article 2 rules, as well as those of the Convention on the International Sale of Goods and the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts, and explores their evolution and application. The authors' approach is to emphasize the importance of context to the application of legal principles and the connenctions and overlap between the knowledge and skills needed to be a litigator and those needed by a transactional attorney.
