such child developmental programs as those in home economics and education departments; music educators; and parents. Along with understanding the growth and development of the child, a music educator must understand the preschool setting and the methods for planning sequential music growth. I have attempted to integrate information about all of these aspects of the education process so that for each activity the reasoning, in terms of child development, is explicit. Further, this book provides insights into learning styles of three- to five-year-old child. To this end, observations of children learning through play activity are included throughout the text.
