SlugBooks.com is a free textbook price comparison website created for the benefit of University of California students.  In fact, it is the first ever university-specific textbook price comparison engine providing options of campus bookstore, online used book sellers, rental services and student listings.  Our mission is to provide all UC students with the knowledge and tools to save the most money on textbooks. We know that most students are strapped for cash, so we aim to help you save money by providing the most information about book purchasing alternatives.  Through customized course modules, we compare prices from the Bookstore and the cheapest internet textbook sellers for all required texts.  We also provide students with information regarding renting books, another cost-effective alternative that eliminates that hassle of quarterly textbook buybacks.  Lastly, we offer an integrated textbook exchange bulletin board for each course - selling to fellow students has never been easier.

Slug Books is maintained and run by current students and alumni of the University of California system.
